Lawn Topdressing

Topdressing is the application of a nutrient-rich layer of Leafgro* over your existing lawn. We recommend topdressing because it adds organic matter back into the soil, reduces the need for fertilizer, all while promoting a healthy root and soil structure.

*Leafgro® is created locally by the Maryland Environmental Service at their Montgomery County and Prince George’s County composting facilities.

Core Aeration & Seeding

Core aeration promotes deeper root growth to support a thicker, healthier lawn that is more resistant to weed growth.

Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to alleviate soil compaction and allow air, water, and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. Right after aerating is the perfect time to apply seed, since the seed will have direct contact with the soil through the openings your aerator left. The combination of aerating and seeding is sure to put your residential lawn on the fast track of strong, healthy growth. At Precision Landscaping we use 100% Tall Fescue Seed.
